About
I've been doing this work for over two decades, inside organizations and alongside them as a consultant. Over the years, I kept seeing the same pattern repeat itself.
Organizations would reach for a solution before they'd fully understood the problem. Most often, it was technology. Sometimes it was a restructure, a process change, a strategic initiative. And too often, the problem they were trying to solve wasn't as straightforward as it first appeared.
What looked like a technology problem was often connected to how the work was happening. A process issue could have as much to do with expectations, communication, or competing priorities as the process itself. And what looked like resistance to change often made a lot more sense once I understood what people were actually experiencing.
Leaders and teams were trying to improve things they couldn't yet clearly see.
I kept coming back to the same realization: you can't design meaningful solutions for a reality you don't yet understand.
My career has never fit neatly into one function. Across roles, I kept being trusted with work that didn't come with a roadmap. Sometimes there was a problem to solve. Sometimes there was something new to build. Sometimes we knew where we needed to get, but not how to get there.
Often, the work didn't stay inside the boundary I'd started with, whether that was a role, a project, a team, or a client relationship. Understanding it, or actually solving it, meant following where it led, into another team, another system, or another part of the organization. So that's what I did.
What I've learned from all of it is that the most important problems rarely fit neatly into one box. They span people, process, and technology. Seeing how those things connect has always come naturally to me, long before I had language for it.
Who I partner with
I work with the people closest to the work and the people making the decisions, bringing together different perspectives so the organization can see the same picture before deciding what comes next.
All of it led me to build Align Partners.
Visibility before solutions.
